Questions parents ask

Is CatchyLetters free?

It is free to download and try. A single one-time unlock opens everything and stays yours forever, with no subscription. The purchase sits behind a parental gate.

Does CatchyLetters have ads or tracking?

No ads, ever, and no third-party tracking. Read the full policy on our privacy page.

What ages is CatchyLetters for?

It is designed for ages 2 to 5. There is no reading required, no timers, no losing and no pressure.

Does it read the games out loud?

Yes. Every game says its task out loud, on the device, in whichever of the nine languages the app is set to, and tapping the prompt repeats it. The menu names the games aloud too, so a child who cannot read yet can still choose one. Nothing is recorded and no audio leaves the device.

Which languages and devices are supported?

Nine languages: English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Romanian and Spanish, and a parent can switch the app's language without changing the phone's, behind the parental gate. It runs on iPhone and iPad with iOS 16.6 or later, and is rated 4+.
