Update

The Catchy games now read every task out loud

All four Catchy games now say each task out loud, on the device, and parents can pick any of nine languages in the app, behind the parental gate.

Most children who play the Catchy games cannot read yet, so the written task above each game was really meant for the grown-up. With the update released on 12 August 2026, all four games read every task out loud, and tapping the prompt says it again. The menu names the games aloud too, and every win gets a spoken cheer.

Parents can also choose the app's language without changing the phone's. A language picker behind the parental gate offers nine: English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Romanian and Spanish. A child can hear Spanish or French every day at home.

The voice is produced by iOS on the device. Nothing is recorded and no audio leaves the phone. It stays quiet while VoiceOver is running and follows the mute button.

Get CatchyShapes, CatchyNumbers, CatchyLetters and CatchyLogic on the App Store, or meet the family on the Catchy games page.
