Voice Recorder ("the App") is developed and published by BE PLUS S.R.L. ("BE PLUS", "we", "us", "our"), a software studio registered in Bucharest, Romania (Reg. Com. J2026039087001, CUI 54913206, registered office Str. Dealul Tugulea 77, Office 2, Floor 1, District 6, Bucharest). This policy explains how the App handles your information.
We never see your recordings. Your audio and transcripts are stored on your device. Transcription runs on your device wherever your device supports it. BE PLUS has no user accounts, no advertising and no third-party tracking. The only data that leaves the device is anonymous usage statistics, sent to our own service and never shared with anyone.
Recordings are saved as audio files on your device, together with their transcripts, in the App's local storage. There is no BE PLUS account, and they are never uploaded to us. You can delete any recording at any time, which removes its audio and transcript from the device.
Transcription uses Apple's Speech framework. The App requests on-device recognition, so on devices and languages that support it your audio is transcribed locally and never leaves your phone. Where on-device recognition is not available, Apple's Speech service performs the transcription under Apple's privacy policy. In either case, BE PLUS never receives your audio or your transcripts.
Exporting or sharing a recording or transcript uses the system share sheet, so you choose exactly where it goes. The App does not transmit your files anywhere on its own.
The App offers an optional Pro upgrade through Apple's In-App Purchase (StoreKit) — an auto-renewable subscription (monthly or yearly) and/or a one-time Lifetime unlock. Apple processes the payment and manages the entitlement, which is tied to your Apple ID; subscriptions renew through Apple until canceled and can be managed in your Apple ID settings. We never receive your payment details (card number, billing address). "Restore Purchases" simply asks Apple to re-confirm an existing purchase.
To understand which features are used and to improve the App, we send anonymous, non-personal usage events to our own first-party analytics service — not a third party, and not an advertising network. What is sent: a random, anonymous install identifier (a UUID) that identifies a device install and not a person; basic technical context such as app version, operating-system version, language and country/region; and simple events such as the app being opened or the purchase screen being shown. We do not send your recordings, their transcripts or their names, contacts, or your location. This matches the App Store privacy label for this App: Identifiers and Usage Data, not linked to you and not used for tracking.
Separately, Apple may collect aggregated, anonymous app-usage and crash statistics at the operating-system level. This is controlled by Apple under Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements, independently of the App. See apple.com/legal/privacy.
The App is a general-audience utility and is not directed at children under 13. It collects no personal information from anyone.
The App integrates no advertising networks, no third-party analytics and no social networks. The only external parties involved are our own first-party analytics service described above and Apple platform services (App Store / In-App Purchase and, where applicable, Apple's Speech service), used under Apple's own privacy framework.
The App is distributed worldwide through the Apple App Store. BE PLUS processes no personal data of its own. As an EU-based company, BE PLUS S.R.L. complies with the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679; users in the EU and UK are protected under the GDPR and UK-GDPR. Because your recordings and transcripts stay on your device, you remain in control of them at all times.
