Privacy Cleaner ("the App") is developed and published by BE PLUS S.R.L. ("BE PLUS", "we", "us", "our"), a software studio registered in Bucharest, Romania (Reg. Com. J2026039087001, CUI 54913206, registered office Str. Dealul Tugulea 77, Office 2, Floor 1, District 6, Bucharest). The App is available for iPhone and iPad (App Store) and for Android (Google Play); this policy covers both. It explains how the App handles your information.
We do not collect any personal data. Stripping hidden metadata from photos runs on your device. BE PLUS has no user accounts, no advertising and no third-party tracking. The only data that leaves the device is anonymous usage statistics, sent to our own service and never shared with anyone. Your content stays on your device unless you explicitly export or share it.

The App reads a photo's embedded metadata — such as GPS location, capture date, camera/lens model, and editing software — solely to show it to you and remove it. All processing happens on your device, using the platform's own image and media frameworks (and, on Android, an open-source PDF library that also runs on your device). Cleaning produces a new copy with the sensitive metadata stripped; your original photo is never modified. Your photos are never uploaded to BE PLUS.
The App does not keep a database of your photos. Cleaned copies are written as temporary files only so you can export or save them, and are cleared by the system. The App has no cloud component and no account.
The App offers an optional one-time Pro unlock through Apple's In-App Purchase (StoreKit) on iPhone and iPad, and through Google Play Billing on Android. Apple or Google processes the payment and manages the entitlement, which is tied to your Apple ID or Google account. We never receive your payment details (card number, billing address). "Restore Purchases" simply asks the store to re-confirm an existing purchase.
To understand which features are used and to improve the App, we send anonymous, non-personal usage events to our own first-party analytics service — not a third party, and not an advertising network. What is sent: a random, anonymous install identifier (a UUID) that identifies a device install and not a person; basic technical context such as app version, operating-system version, language and country/region; and simple events such as the app being opened or the purchase screen being shown. We do not send your photos, your files or their names, contacts, or your location. This matches the App Store privacy label and the Google Play Data safety section for this App: identifiers and usage data, not linked to you and not used for tracking.
Separately, Apple or Google may collect aggregated, anonymous app-usage and crash statistics at the operating-system level. The App is a general-audience utility and is not directed at children under 13. It collects no personal information from anyone.
The App integrates no advertising networks, no third-party analytics and no social networks. The only external parties involved are our own first-party analytics service described above and the store platform services: Apple (App Store, In-App Purchase, the rating prompt) on iPhone and iPad, and Google (Google Play, Play Billing, the in-app review prompt) on Android, each under its own privacy policy.
The App is distributed worldwide through the Apple App Store and Google Play. BE PLUS processes no personal data of its own. As an EU-based company, BE PLUS S.R.L. complies with the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679; users in the EU and UK are protected under the GDPR and UK-GDPR. Because your content stays on your device (and, where applicable, in your own iCloud), you remain in control of it at all times.
